A Real Learning Experience
Shirley Priscilla Johnson
Being
allergic to so many foods that I know of and some that I do not
know; I was eager to read this book.
As I read the information I was truly surprised at the problems that
wheat and gluten cause in people that they are not aware of, myself
included, and wheat is in just about everything that we consume. That is
not good for those of us who are not informed of the problems wheat
intolerance can cause.
However, take heart! The author gives us a wonderful alternative in the
use of coconut flour. This versatile flour can be used to make just
about any recipe that you want, with a few adjustments. Coconut flour is
also good for you. It improves digestion, helps regulate blood sugar,
protects against diabetes, helps prevent heart disease and cancer and
can even be in aid in weight loss. Sounds almost like a miracle flour
doesn't it? Perhaps it is.
This work is absolutely chock full of easy to understand information on
the use of Coconut flour and its benefits. The author has also given
page after page of delicious recipes that use this flour and can be
substituted for those you now use. You can still have the foods you love
but without the bad effects of wheat.
This is a well thought out, well researched book and one that as you
read it, you can tell the author knows his subject matter. That is
comforting.
If you are concerned about your health, looking for some answers to
improve it this work is for you. I'm going to keep it close by as a
reference and share the valuable information I have acquired from it.
Great job! Great book! I recommend this one.
Great Stuff!

I have just purchased your
books Cooking with Coconut Flour and Coconut Cures. I
really enjoyed both of them. I am allergic to gluten and wheat so I am
thrilled to find new recipes to try as I have been using so many flours
and additives to bake with and then the breads etc. were not that good.
Everything I have cooked out of your books have been wonderful and so
much more reasonable in cost and ease in mixing.
People Are Amazed
Shelly
I love Dr. Fife’s Cooking with
Coconut Flour book. People are amazed at not only the wonderful taste of
the products from these recipes but that they are made from coconut
milk, coconut oil, and coconut flour. An added benefit is the easy
digestion of the products.
I Love, LoveThis Book!

This is the most wonderful
treasure ever created. I love, love, LOVE this book!!! My whole body and
being thanks you for this book. I have successfully prepared 11 of the
recipes and love them all. It is such a blessing to get away from that
horrid yuck that is sold in stores as a gluten-free substitute. The
recipes are so easy. Not only are they delicious beyond imagination but
my digestion thanks you too.

I can honestly say that this book has changed my life! Low-carb and
healthy has never been so delicious. I am not one for baking, but I just
whipped up a batch of delicious cupcakes with chocolate frosting--and I
can eat one guilt free! Coconut flour is high in fiber, low in carbs and
delicious! I love the low-sugar recipe options, too. Basically, use half
the sugar and add stevia to taste. Perfection!
My favorite is the pancakes recipe--I can now eat my favorite breakfast
food every day. Hot tip: Add a couple of chocolate chips to each pancake
for the ultimate
(guilt free!) decadence. Mmmmmmmm.

I now can enjoy muffins and cakes guilt free.
My glucose reading were very stable after eating muffins made with
coconut flour. The recipes are easy to follow and they did have no or
low sugar alternatives. My family was pleased.
LOVE The
Coconut Flour Muffins!

I now make pumpkin, pineapple/banana, and
sausage/cheese coconut muffins and freeze - nuke a couple for breakfast
- they're not only good for you, they taste GREAT! This cookbook
discusses how to use coconut flour, many of the recipes incorporate
coconut oil, and gives you enough information to improvise even
further.....
Wonderful Recipes
Joyce Garcia
I've only tried one recipe from this book so
far, but I've read many of them. These are great recipes. Many with very
few ingredients. The recipes are very simple and the one I tried so far
had great results. Everyone who tasted the cookies loved them! One
co-worker asked for them 3 days in a row. And I just happened to have
some with me all 3 days.
I noticed that by using coconut flour, there is very little flour used
in each recipe, but if you don't like to use a lot of eggs, you may not
like a lot of these recipes, as there are about double the number of
eggs used as in recipes with wheat flour.
The end product was quite tasty.
Glad I Have This Book

IF you don't have a problem with eggs, this is
a great recipe book. I've made several of the muffin recipes and and a
few of the loaves as well. I really like the taste and texture and have
recommended the book to several people. Whether the results are high or
low carb depends on which recipe you choose, and you do have a choice
for many of them of using the stevia-only versions. You don't have to
use a recipe with cornmeal or cornstarch; they're in those particular
recipes for a reason, but not in all of them. You can choose coconut
milk, or any other non-dairy milk. I don't get why some reviewers make
things so difficult for themselves. Can they use every recipe in every
other cook book they buy? I'm not interested in every recipe in the
book, but there are many more I have yet to try, and will. Of those I
have made, the ingredients, except for the coconut flour itself, are all
readily available.
Great For Using Coconut Flour
K. Petersen
I have found the recipes in this book to be
very tasty and have enjoyed all of the recipes I have tried with the
exception of the pancakes which just didn't seem like American pancakes
to me. Be advised that you really must stick to the ingredients
recommended, no substitutions.
I think one could safely say that it is a comprehensive guide to cooking
with coconut flour.
Coconut Flour Recipes And More

I found this book very helpful in
incorporating more coconut flour into my gluten free diet.
Great Recipes!

This book explains the benefits of cooking
with Coconut extremely well, and has wonderful recipes!
Love This Cookbook!
J. Gardner
When I got my copy in the mail, I was
surprised at how wonderful the recipes looked when I flipped through the
book. So far I have made the pancakes and meatloaf and both were very
good. This book is a keeper and I just know I will use it daily. I have
been looking for a way to replace wheat for a long time now (not
allergic to wheat, just want to cut back on the amount I eat day in and
day out). I have tried almond flour and protein powders, but not
thrilled with the out come. I went ahead and ordered the coconut
cookbook by Bruce Fife also. Can't wait for that one to arrive. You must
try this book if you are serious about adding coconut to your lifestyle.
I cut back on dairy also, so the use of coconut milk is another plus.
This Boy can cook, that about sums it up for me.
Cooking With Coconut Flour
M. Wilkerson
Simply wonderful! Have tried many of these
recipes and they are all wonderful - As someone with low blood sugar and
gluten intolerance, this is especially wonderful! My whole family loves
the recipes. A must for anyone wanting healthier food for the family!

Midwest Book Review
Cooking With Coconut Flour: A Delicious
Low-Carb, Gluten-Free Alternative To Wheat is an excellent cookbook and
practical guide to creating breads, cakes, frosting, breading for fried
foods and much more using coconut flour. Coconut flour is regarded as
hypoallergenic because so few people are allergic to it, unlike wheat,
dairy, and even soy flour. Coconut flower is also ideal for heart health
because it contains a type of fiber that reduces cholesterol levels, and
is a good food for diabetics and others who must watch their blood sugar
because it has a low glycemic index. The beginning of Cooking With
Coconut Flour offers general tips and suggestions, followed by a
multitude of recipes for coconut-flour pancakes, Cheese Muffins,
Strawberry Chiffon Pie, Spaghetti with Meatballs, Chicken and Dumpling
Casserole, Hawaiian Nut Bread, and so much more. Cooking With Coconut
Flour is a highly recommended and easy-to-use cookbook packed from cover
